Your Allergy-Friendly Lunch Box

There are many overwhelming things about sending your kids back to school, but finding an allergy-friendly lunch doesn’t need to be one of them. With so many allergy-friendly products available, it’s easy to make a lunch that your kids will love and that is safe for a school environment. Sarah Smeenk, one of our directors, is mother to two sweet girls in middle school. Sarah shares with us a few tips to packing an allergy-friendly lunch this fall…

“Don’t panic – there are so many resources out there to help you. If you are someone who loves to bake and cook yourself, there are tons of products that can be substituted into any regular recipe that your whole family will love. If you are not a cook or baker – then there are SO many products on the market to help accommodate almost any allergy or sensitivity. Visiting your local health food store is a great place to start. Allergy awareness is growing more and more each day and with that the number of products and resources available.”
