Up your thanksgiving game this year by choosing fresh!
Cook time: 10 min / Prep time: hardly any!
Ingredients
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ c water
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- Dash cinnamon, freshly ground black pepper, ground cloves/nutmeg
Method
- Wash and pick over cranberries. In a saucepan bring to a boil water and sugar, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add cranberries and spices, return to a boil.
- Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes or until cranberries burst. Remove from heat.
- Cool completely at room temperature and then chill in refrigerator. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools. (Can be prepared 1 week ahead)
