Fresh Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Up your thanksgiving game this year by choosing fresh!

Cook time: 10 min / Prep time: hardly any!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ c water
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • Dash cinnamon, freshly ground black pepper, ground cloves/nutmeg

Method

  1. Wash and pick over cranberries. In a saucepan bring to a boil water and sugar, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add cranberries and spices, return to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes or until cranberries burst. Remove from heat.
  3. Cool completely at room temperature and then chill in refrigerator. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools. (Can be prepared 1 week ahead)
