Murray Fallaise, our founder Jo Anne’s husband, created this vegetarian burger way back in the day when a meat-free lifestyle was unheard of. Families that have come out of Jo Anne’s have been enjoying these burgers for over 40 years and we want to share it with you!

Prep Time: 45 min
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup oats
- 3 tbs tomato juice
- 1/2 cup onion
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp salt

Directions
- Grind nuts & seeds
- Set aside & add oats
- Blend tomoato juice, onion, eggs, sage, garlic & salt
- Add dry ingredients
- Let sit for 15-30 minutes
- Make patties on cast iron, keeping a close eye
- Enjoy hot or freeze to reheat another day
